About the role

The Turndown Attendant provides a comfortable evening environment in Guest Rooms by cleaning and refreshing the room in the early evening and preparing the room for the guest to sleep in.

What you will do

•Removes used towels and replaces them with clean ones from the linen closet.

•Wipe down any wet services in the bathroom.

•Fold any clothing left in room and place it in appropriate spot.

•Remove Room Service trays and dishes and carts to service landings. Replace used cups, saucers, spoons and glasses.

•Remove garbage from bins in bedroom and bathroom.

•Close drapes, reduce lighting, turn music on softly and prepare bed.

•Submit all maintenance issues in guestrooms, Public Areas and Back of house areas to the Engineering department through designated work systems and bring them to the attention of the Housekeeping management.

•Add special touches to the guestrooms to enhance the guest experience (e.g. microfiber cloth, book marks, travel bags.

•Restock used amenities such as shampoo, lotions, cotton balls, stationery, pens and coffee, tea and sugar sachets.

What you bring

•At least 1 years of housekeeping experience, preferably in a luxury hotel or resort.

•Excellent personal presentation and interpersonal skills.

•Strong time management skills: ability to multi-task, set priorities, and adjust to changing conditions. Willing to work in a fast-paced environment.

•Ability to operate all computer equipment necessary to perform the job; knowledge of HotSOS preferred/is a plus.

•Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to work closely with other departments and communicate clearly and effectively with colleagues and guests.

•Ability to lift, carry, and move up to 30 lbs.
