Job Description:
We are seeking a certified Mammography Technologist to join its imaging team at a rural acute care hospital in Fortuna, California. This 13-week contract requires a highly skilled and flexible technologist who is willing to float between the Fortuna and Eureka campuses. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, compassionate, and experienced in performing high-quality mammographic imaging.

Responsibilities:

• Perform screening and diagnostic mammograms in accordance with ACR and FDA guidelines
• Prepare patients for procedures and explain the process clearly and compassionately
• Ensure image quality and maintain patient comfort throughout imaging process
• Accurately document imaging procedures in Epic EMR system
• Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure timely and accurate results
• Float between Fortuna and Eureka locations as needed

Key Requirements:

Education:

• Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program

Experience:

• Minimum 1 year of recent experience in mammography required
• First-time travelers accepted

License/Certification:

• ARRT (R) required
• ARRT (M) – Mammography Certification required
• California Radiologic Technologist License required
• BLS Certification required (AHA)

Skills:

• Excellent patient care and communication
• Proficient with Epic charting
• Strong technical skills in digital mammography equipment
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Willingness to float and adapt to different clinical settings
