The Principal Avionics RF Electrical Engineer will participate in the development and test of RF avionics hardware for E-Space satellites. You will work collaboratively with engineers of various disciplines and participate in all aspects of electrical hardware development, from requirements definition through design, prototyping, fabrication, testing, and production. As an engineer on the E-Space avionics team, you will have frequent opportunities to test and operate your systems on-orbit. What you will do Develop RF PCBA requirements in collaboration with other engineering disciplines Schematic capture and PCB layout using Altium Designer Conduct RF PCB signal analysis including link budgeting, phase and group delays, signal integrity, etc. Circuit analysis including power, tolerance, and reliability related PCBA design verification testing and system integration testing Production manufacturing support as needed Why you're the right candidate You have a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent You have 15+ years of experience in RF electrical hardware design including analysis, simulation, schematic capture, PCB layout, and testing You have design proficiency with LNAs, filtering, mixers, signal modulation, etc. You have proficiency with Altium Designer for schematic capture and layout of complex PCBs You have experience performing circuit analyses in RF tools, SPICE, and Excel You have experience with electronic lab equipment such as network analyzers, BERTs, oscilloscopes, power supplies, soldering iron, etc. You have demonstrated success working in a dynamic environment Additional experience we'd like to see Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent Experience with antenna design and wireless RF links Experience designing for space environments including radiation SEE/TID impacts and mitigation Experience designing rigid-flex PCBs and general electro-mechanical design familiarity ASIC design experience FPGA or software design experience $150,000 - $220,000 a year The estimated range is meant to reflect an anticipated salary range for the position in question, which is based on market data and other factors, all of which are subject to change. Individual pay is based on location, skills and expertise, depth of relevant experience, and other relevant factors.
