Job Description

Randstad is seeking a motivated and skilled Biologist to join a team in St. Louis, MO. In this fully on-site role, you will be instrumental in various laboratory and growth chamber activities. Your responsibilities will include preparing necessary testing materials, maintaining inoculum cultures, providing comprehensive plant care, and ensuring accurate data documentation.

As the selected candidate you will:

• Work directly with plants, soil, and plant pathogens within controlled laboratory and growth chamber settings.
• Prepare testing supplies and maintain the integrity of inoculum cultures.
• Perform planting, general plant maintenance, plant inoculations, and detailed disease ratings.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment by regularly cleaning laboratories and growth chambers.
• Utilize digital platforms for accessing and recording experimental data.

We are looking for candidates who have:

• Bachelor's Degree and 4-6 years of relevant professional experience.
• Familiarity with sterile techniques (preferred).
• A proven ability to adhere to established procedures and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
• Exceptional organizational skills and a strong work ethic.
• A keen attention to detail and the ability to thrive both independently and collaboratively within a team.
• Comfort working in environments that may be dusty or warm.
• Specific experience with AAV vector manufacturing and testing (a plus).
