Job Summary:
Temco Logistics is seeking a skilled and dependable CDL A Delivery Truck Driver to join our team! In this role, you’ll operate a flatbed tractor-trailer to deliver a variety of home improvement supplies—including drywall, building materials, and lumber—to customer sites. You’ll be the face of Temco, fostering strong customer relationships through a positive, professional attitude while ensuring timely and accurate deliveries.
This is a local delivery position—you’ll be home daily with early morning routes, making it ideal for those who enjoy physical work and customer interaction.
Key Responsibilities:
* Safely operate flatbed trucks to deliver building materials to residential and commercial sites.
* Load and unload freight manually or using equipment such as forklifts or Moffett’s; ensure all cargo is properly secured.
* Complete deliveries according to route schedule while adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations.
* Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to maintain safety and DOT compliance.
* Accurately maintain delivery logs, paperwork, and communication with dispatch.
* Deliver outstanding service by communicating effectively with customers and store staff.
Qualifications:
* Minimum age of 21 years.
* Valid Class A CDL license.
* 2–5 years of recent, verifiable CDL A driving experience.
* At least 1 year of flatbed experience required.
* Flexibility to work varying schedules to meet operational needs, including every Saturday.
* Current DOT Medical Card.
* Ability to pass a DOT urine drug screen and physical agility test.
* Must be able to lift a minimum of 70 lbs and unload freight manually.
* Clean criminal background check.
* No drug/alcohol tests failed while holding a CDL A license (NO SAP participants).
* Excellent driving record: no major violations in the last 12 months and no more than 2 in the past 3 years.
* Forklift certification or Moffett experience is a huge plus!
