Director of Autism Services WORK Inc.

Position Overview: The Director of Autism Services is responsible for leading, developing, and advancing WORK Inc.'s programs that support individuals with autism. This role pioneers innovative services tailored to the needs and interests of this group of individuals, ensuring participants and their families receive comprehensive support to foster independence and well-being.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Program Leadership & Innovation: Design and implement progressive services that empower individuals with autism, including life skills training, day programming, social engagement, employment assistance, and educational opportunities.
  • Operational Management: Oversee departmental operations, ensuring efficient service delivery, policy compliance, and positive program outcomes. Routinely evaluate and refine policies to enhance effectiveness.
  • Staff Supervision & Development: Lead, mentor, and support program staff by managing case assignments, facilitating professional development, and ensuring optimal staffing coverage. Provide direct support when necessary.
  • Family & Participant Engagement: Foster inclusive and accessible services by maintaining strong connections with participants and their families, ensuring programs align with their needs and aspirations.
  • Financial Oversight & Compliance: Collaborate with the VP of ASD Services to monitor funding streams, manage department budgets, and ensure compliance with contracts and regulatory standards.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Proven experience in autism services, program development, or disability support.
  • Strong management and leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Ability to assess, refine, and innovate programming to meet evolving needs.
  • Experience managing budgets and funding sources for service-based programs.
